First and foremost I would like to point out that in spite of the product name and a little sticker on the outside of the bag my portable came in, this product was/is not wood. It is aluminum. Since I bought this product with the intention of cutting the legs shorter, I was pretty annoyed by the difference in material but didn't have time to return it. It worked out, though, and I could not be happier with this little table.
Set up and tear down is fast and easy, and the table is nice and sturdy. The bag it comes in is a perfect carrying case and the kit as a whole is very light and easy to carry. It's a good sized table as well, seating 4 comfortably and more if you get cozy.

Practical elegance at the beach
I am so tired of sand in everything!We live in coastal Delaware and are fortunate enough to go to the state park almost every weekend in the summer. We bring our two chairs, umbrellas, blankets, bags, coolers - you know how that goes. Who has room for any more? Well, we sling this table over our shoulder and sometimes load it in a beach cart we also bought here. The slatted table rolls up and connects and his held sturdy with four screw-on legs attached to two wooden straps that act as a brace. The slats are attached by two strips of woven ribbon, somewhat like a venetian blind. It takes about two minutes to assemble and disassemble. We put the table between my chairs, and my soda, crossword, books, Kindle, sprays and lotions, whathaveyou are all at my side. I can't tell you how many people walk past and point and couples say to themselves in passing, "we oughta get one of those!" Yes you should! Many people have come up to us and asked us where we got it- I haven't seen anything like it in any of the coastal beach supply places. It's wonderful. When we have company, it acts as the entertainment center. I love how it rolls right back up and inserts easily in the netted carry bag. This is our second summer and it despite being exposed to salt water spray and sand, it looks new and shows no sign of wear. It is not light, but not heavy either. Now that we have a sand cart, we don't carry it too much but it wasn't a problem slinging over the shoulder. If you like tailgating at the beach or having a quiet soire for two, this table in the bag is definitely the way to do the beach in style. I am not sure what kind of wood it is (I guess I could look) but it looks like teak (though I know it isn't).
